1. What is the D.I.V.E. Conference?
D.I.V.E. RI: A New England student-led conference presented by the URI’s Multicultural Unity and Student Involvement Council (M.U.S.I.C.). D.I.V.E. RI 2016 will be held in URI Kingston campus on March 4-5th, 2016. This is the second annual conference in the series.

 

2. What is M.U.S.I.C?
The Multicultural Unity and Student Involvement Council (M.U.S.I.C) serves as an umbrella and representative council of the student organizations affiliated with the Multicultural Center of the University of Rhode Island. This council promotes cooperation and collaboration among the multicultural and social change student organizations.

 

3. What does registration include?
D.I.V.E. RI registration includes full access to conference materials and program including: keynote presentation, breakout sessions, gallery space, evening events and special performances. Registration also includes horderves and breakfast breakfast as dinner on Friday and breakfast and lunch on Saturday.

 

4. Where can I park?
All attendees will park behind the Visitor’s Center parking lot which is called the Briar Lane Parking lot. For GPS purposes, the address of the lot is 45 Upper College Road, Kingston RI 02881. Please follow the “Special Event Parking” signs!
Do I need a parking pass?
No. You will not need a parking pass since our event is during the hours of when a parking passes are not required.

 

5. What is the dress attire for D.I.V.E. RI?
We ask that attendees dress business casual. If you are unsure what this type of clothing entails, please take a look at this wikiHow.

 

6. What time should we arrive to the URI Kingston Campus?
Registration is open from 4:30pm-5:15pm on Friday 3/04 and 9:30am-10:30am on Saturday 3/05. Please plan and travel accordingly if you are traveling from outside the University.

 

 

7. Do I need to create an Eventbrite log-in to register?
We highly recommend you create an Eventbrite log-in. It will make it easier to make any registration changes, in the event of a transfer of registration.

 

8. Can I register for another person?
Yes, you can register for another person during the online registration process. Please note, you will be asked for demographic and contact information for each person registering, as well as personalized information. If you are registering on behalf of someone else, please make sure you have accurate information available.

 

9. How do I get to the conference venue?
D.I.V.E. RI 2016 will be held at the University of Rhode Island in Kingston, RI.
