Biography

Rachel Dunham is a recent graduate of URI and currently works as the Assistant Coordinator of Violence Prevention and Advocacy Services at the URI Women’s Center. Rachel is passionate about advocating for equality and non violence within higher education institutions and the world.

Lindsay Costa is a graduate student in the College Student Personnel program and the Graduate Assistant of External Programming at the URI Women’s Center. She is committed to social justice, inclusion, and ending violence on our campuses nationwide.

Workshop Title: One Dot at a Time: Inspiring a Culture of Nonviolence on your Campus

Workshop Description: Interpersonal violence is an issue affecting college campuses across the nation. The GreenDot Initiative is a bystander intervention program working to equip students with the knowledge and tools to create cultural change. In this session, attendees will learn how to become active bystanders and reduce violence in their college communities.
