Location: Memorial Union Senate Chambers Room 300
The purpose of this workshop is to create conversation between minorities about breaking the stigmas of depression and anxiety. These stigmas have been socially constructed and have created an unconscious silence about our mental health. The workshop includes why and how these stigmas have been created and how we intend to separate ourselves from them, in order to feel more like ourselves, in a world that asks us not to. This workshop will encourage students to recognize that they are allowed to voice their issues without being judged or, shunned and to seek help, without feeling ashamed for taking care of themselves. Minorities will benefit from this workshop.
