Workshop Title: Social Justice with People from Privileged Groups: Activities, Facilitation Techniques, and Tips to Overcoming Resistance

Workshop Description: When teaching about diversity and social justice to people from privileged backgrounds, advocates often face resistance from learners. If our community is going to achieve greater understanding of issues of equity and inclusion, we must be deliberate in the way we approach social justice education. Whether you want to facilitate small or large diversity-related learning, this workshop will give you specific activities, tools, and insight into teaching people whose privilege may make them initially resistant.

Workshop Time: Session III in Memorial Union Room 360
