Workshop Title: Femeconomics Applied to Race and Ethncity
Workshop Description: This workshop will aim to educate attendees on the application that feminist economic lens has to offer to view, understand, and challenge the world. The lens challenges classical economic models as insufficient explanations of disparities in economic outcomes. For example, classic economics does not offer a reason for gender wage discrimination and does not offer insight on any dichotomies found in the economy. This lens has the potential to open doors for other identities’ economic stories. Race and ethnicity play as much as a crucial role as gender in a person’s development and economic outcomes.
Workshop Time: Session I in Quinn Hall Room 103
